June was a very busy and active month for the Metheny family here in Illinois. Alicia Marie had her very first dance recital, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Here are a couple shots of her on stage.
Then came the Little Miss Caseyville Pagent. Her Mommy (Lisa) and Daddy (Kenny), worked very hard to get everything ready for the Firemans Parade on June 25th. Plus they both had been out canvassing, selling tickets, and placing donation cans in every village market, quick stop, gas stations to collect money for the Firemens Fund. And even though she didn't win first place, the five contestants and their families collected over $8000 for the Firemens Fund. As runner up Alicia was given a check for $100. Not too bad showing for a 3 year old lady. Here are some pictures of the parade, and the pagent.
After all the whoop-la was over, and Mommy, Daddy, and big brother Jeff, Grandma and Grandpa all enjoyed the firemens picnic. Great food, and Grandma and Mommy won several pies and cakes to take home for the effort. Alicia got to enjoy some of the rides and entertainments. Here are some pictures from that.
